Drexel University’s Close School Of Entrepreneurship And Innovara Launch Certificate Program For Transformational Medical Science Liaisons

Philadelphia, PA. – Drexel University’s Close School of Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with healthcare industry talent development global leader, Innovara, proudly announces the launch of a groundbreaking, unique certificate program designed specifically for Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and other Field Medical personnel.

In today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment, MSLs are increasingly challenged with distilling complex scientific information into strategic insights, bridging the gap between medical research and clinical practice. To address this need, Drexel’s Close School of Entrepreneurship and Innovara have co-developed an innovative certificate course aimed at equipping MSLs with the essential skills to help transform medical practices and patient outcomes, as well as impact business and therapeutic area strategies by pharmaceutical, life sciences and medical technology companies.

Key Highlights for the Innovara Transformational MSL Certificate

Innovative curriculum: The program offers a deep dive into six ways in which MSLs are transformational. From insights to innovation, MSLs will gain valuable skills in strategic scientific and medical communication, business strategy and development, and stakeholder engagement to enhance their influence in shaping medical practices and, ultimately, patient outcomes.

Industry-driven learning: Designed in partnership with industry experts, the certificate combines academic rigor with experiential learning applications, ensuring that the curriculum addresses practical challenges and opportunities.

Advanced Skills for Professional Growth for MSLs: This program equips MSLs with tools to effectively adapt to challenges they face in the field and in their companies, providing them with practical tools to navigate uncertainties, innovate in their roles, and foster stronger collaborations with medical thought leaders and other key opinion leaders.

“We are excited to collaborate with Innovara on this pioneering certificate program,” said Damian Salas, Associate Dean at the Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship at Drexel University. “MSLs play a critical role in the dissemination of scientific information, medical thought leader engagement, and (ultimately) patient outcomes. By equipping them with these skills, we are empowering them to become more effective communicators, innovators, and transformational leaders in the healthcare industry.”
