Tired of sketchy Facebook Marketplace deals, steep resale fees, and chaotic group chats? Drexel student, Prashastha Nirwan, saw the problem and built a smarter solution. Introducing Buzzi, the brand-new peer-to-peer marketplace created by a Dragon, for Dragons, and designed specifically for campus life. Whether you’re selling a minifridge, hunting for cheap textbooks, or finding a last-minute sublease, Buzzi makes it safe, simple, and entirely student-driven.
What is Buzzi?
At its core, Buzzi is a marketplace tailored for Drexel students, simplifying the process of buying, selling, and swapping anything campus life demands. Think of it as a centralized, more trustworthy version of Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, or Depop.
What makes Buzzi stand out?
- Drexel Student Verified: Only verified Drexel students with .edu emails can join. No scammers, no strangers—just our community.
- OTP-Protected Payments: One-time password (OTP) protected transactions ensure secure, scam-free exchanges.
- Local & On-Campus: Forget shipping nightmares. Everything is conveniently located on or near campus, designed for a true campus lifestyle.
- Buy & Sell Anything: From books and dorm gear to furniture and subleases—if a student uses it, you can find it here.
Buzzi eliminates the clutter and confusion of other platforms while protecting you from the dangers of selling to strangers online.
Built by a Dragon, for Dragons
Buzzi’s creator, Prashastha Nirwan, is going for his bachelor’s degree in computer science. As a current Drexel student, he saw firsthand how complicated and unsafe it can feel to sell and buy college supplies online. With the help of Drexel’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, he was able to bring his idea to life!
The Buzz Around Campus
Since its launch, Buzzi has already started gaining traction with students using the app daily to flip old gear, score deals, and support their fellow dragons. If you haven’t already, join the buzz:
