Vice Dean Sacco’s Trip: Building Global Innovation Ecosystems

The Close School’s commitment to experiential learning is global. Vice Dean Chuck Sacco recently returned from Belgrade, Serbia, where he helped launch the Scale SEE accelerator, a program tackling the lack of venture capital in Southeastern Europe. This experience provides crucial insights into how global founders operate, reinforcing lessons about resourcefulness and the “failure as learning” mindset. Sacco is bringing these real-world lessons, network connections, and international case studies directly back to the “Innovation Ecosystem” course, ensuring Drexel students are prepared to compete in a truly global marketplace.
