Lifeguarding Lessons In Leadership: Close School Professors Rob Morier And Barrie Litzky Publish New Study On Entrepreneurship

Innovation knows no bounds at the Close School, as evidenced by the latest groundbreaking research from Professor Rob Morier and Barrie Litzky published on EIX.

Professor Morier designed and executed an insightful and unique study about the similarities between lifeguarding and entrepreneurship. “Rob imagined and crafted a well-thought-out pilot study, analyzed the data, wrote up the results, and derived conclusions connecting them to practical applications in venture capital, innovation, and entrepreneurship,” Litzky said about Professor Morier’s initial work. His work reflects intellectual rigor and curiosity and a deep commitment to bridging theory and practice in ways that benefit both academic and professional communities.

Professor Morier’s unique study exemplifies the school’s commitment to bridging theory and practice in dynamic ways. His Tides of Innovation course provides students with an enthusiastic and passionate learning experience, enriched by his real-world expertise and professional network.
