Empathy Tech – Student Innovation Challenge

September 1 @ 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Do you have an innovative idea that could make caregiving more compassionate, accessible, or effective? The Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship is partnering with Empathy Tech to allow students to turn empathy into impact.

Inspired by the personal caregiving experiences of founders Marius and Jeanine Mathisen, Empathy Tech brings together innovators dedicated to solving real-world challenges through thoughtful technology and human-centered design.

Student teams of 3–5 are invited to submit an idea focused on one of the following challenge areas:

  • Special education and learning difficulties
  • Intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism
  • Accessibility and independent living
  • Aging and caregiving

Selected teams will receive mentorship from industry experts and an exclusive invitation to pitch their ideas at the Empathy Tech event on October 7 in Philadelphia. Participants will also have the opportunity to continue developing their concepts with support from the Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Don’t have a team yet? You can still apply individually and form a team before the competition. Submit your idea today!
