Evan Ehlers
Founder of Sharing Excess

The Close School gave me fertile ground to grow. They pushed me to start something. They pushed me to start somewhere. And simply because of that (entrepreneurship and Sharing Excess) became my everything… The Close School doesn’t just impact the lives of it’s students, but positively impacts the lives of the people that are impacted by the businesses they start. And that is a beautiful ripple effect.
Liam Halsey
Founder of Lennica Digital

My journey started at the Westphal School of Design, but a chance connection in my dorm led me to the Entrepreneurship program, and I haven’t looked back since. The best advice I can give is to put yourself out there–success depends on others. Whether it’s mentors, professors, or investors these connections accelerate your growth. If I hadn’t stepped out of my comfort zone freshman year, I wouldn’t have discovered my true place in the Entrepreneurship program. Oh and by the way, there is plenty of free money available at the Close School competitions–sign up!
Paige DeAngelo
Founder and CEO of Aer Cosmetics

When I realized how much waste I was contributing through makeup, I knew there had to be a sustainable solution. Aer Cosmetics was born from that realization. I wanted to create something everyone could use without harming the planet. The Close School gave me the time and resources to work on this full-time through the Entrepreneurship Co-op. That support helped me to turn my idea into reality and gain the confidence to pitch my business on a national stage. I’m excited to keep pushing the boundaries of sustainability in the beauty industry.
Victoria Faith Miller
Founder of SEEd HER Organization

Witnessing the transformative power of education through HER Lab reaffirmed my belief in the collective power of individuals coming together to make a difference. Every girl in the program has incredible potential, and it became our collective mission to unlock it and nurture their talents through entrepreneurship education. We didn’t just focus on short-term solutions; we aimed to create sustainable and lasting positive change. HER Lab and Close School gave me the platform to use my skills for a purpose greater than myself, and that is incredibly fulfilling.
